Experienced Coins

Once upon a time, when I was a young man traveling on a long journey called life,
I met a very special person who, out of his great kindness, gave me a large bag full of old gold coins he often referred to as, "experienced coins."
He told me, "these are very rare hard to find coins and I want you to have them. I said, "But what are you going to do without them?"
He said, "I don't need them anymore because they are now a part of me. Just by having these coins in my pocket, I've become very rich. Not just monetarily rich but wealthy in the life I've been given.
Don't ever hoard these coins but give them to as many young people that you think could benefit by having some.
These are far beyond magic coins." I could see he had a very big bag of these "experienced coins."

He then pulled out of his back pocket an old frayed map. He pointed to a small town on the map and said, "go to this little town and you'll meet some young people who'll hear your story about the coins and possibly believe you. They may believe you enough to see the value in these old coins. Might even believe your story about the man who gave them to you.
And then, I want you to give the coins away to those young people. The ones who "truly desire the experienced coins.

I asked, "why would they ever believe such a seemingly far fetched story by someone who is practically a stranger to them? I don't have the "youth attraction, charisma or media credibility" that young people look for these days."
The man replied, "remember way way back, when I gave those coins to you? You didn't use any of them in the beginning did you?
But... you held onto them. They started to come in handy as you grew older. And Richard...it's not your judgment call whether they use them or not. Just give them away like I gave them to you."

And then I knew in my heart it was time to leave so I said say good-bye to the young people and the little town on the old frayed map.
