The Future is something which everyone reaches at the rate of sixty minutes an hour, whatever he does, whoever he is. ~C.S. Lewis
What happened? I turned sixty and now everyone is younger than me. What the heck happened? I was on a local television show a few days ago and in the monitor I looked like an advertisement for liver spot remover and a candidate for hair club for men. I was backing a young fellow that has his whole life ahead of him and I thought any minute the "geezer police" where going to run up and arrest me.
TIME has made it's guest appearance on my life's personal talk show and I gotta say I am still in shock. I've never thought of myself as being vain. Wait a minute, my old manager (God rest his soul) talked me into getting a "hair weave" during my Narada years. What a pain in the head! But that was a long time ago and I prefer hats these days.
Okay I'm getting older. Sometimes the oldest guy in the room. But that's just the body. I listen to every kind of music I can get my hands on. When the brain and hands are in sync, I can pretty much play what I hear in my head and I do take requests. I gotta exercise, gotta floss, cut out the foods that do you no good (I'm getting there!).
LAST PART: Love people, verbally compliment everyone the good Lord brings you in contact with each day (especially your better half). Take good care of your pets. It's stinks that their little lives are so much shorter than ours. Get rid of all your hate and bitterness towards people living and dead. You are just hurting yourself and shorting your life. DON'T GIVE UP ON YOUR DREAMS. As long as you have a breath, you gotta try and try and try again. ~Richard
